What do you think is the most compelling aspect of the Dawn mission?

The chance to link the very detailed data from meteorites to a specific parent body, and to see if more diversity exists on Vesta.

How are you participating in Dawn science as it relates to the Dawn mission?

Analysis of visible and near-infrared spectrum to determine and map surface mineralogy and to establish probable links to specific meteorite types.

What are some of the challenges that accompany your job with the Dawn mission?

Making sure that the raw data is properly calculated so that accurate interpretation can be carried out. Also, keeping my teaching up to standards while still committing adequate time to Dawn.

What do you enjoy most about your work with the Dawn mission?

The thrill of the hunt!

Describe your thoughts and feelings as the Dawn spacecraft is approaching at Vesta?

Anticipation and excitement, mixed with a bit of trepidation.
