Google+ Hangout: Asteroid Mappers Edition

Citizen Science in Action

I'm a Mapper, He's a Mapper,
She's a Mapper, We're a Mapper,
Wouldn't you like to be a Mapper, too?

Are you interested in becoming an Asteroid Mapper? Maybe you already are one? Dawn Mission scientists and educators are holding a Google+ Hangout at 5:00 p.m. PST on December 11 to give you a little background on Dawn's citizen science project, Asteroid Mappers: Vesta Edition. You'll hear about the mission and its citizen science from the scientists who made it happen. We'll map some images of giant asteroid Vesta together. You'll get a chance to ask questions.

Be an Asteroid Mapper!

Just what is an Asteroid Mapper? You investigate and analyze high-resolution Dawn images of Vesta, including craters and other features, from your own computer! Dawn and CosmoQuest collaborated to create this citizen science opportunity.

Questions? Yes, please!

Submit questions for the Hangout via Dawn Facebook, Twitter, or Google+.

Would you like feedback on a Vesta image you've mapped?

Take a screen shot and email it to us we may use it as an exemplar!
